I don't understand why Google is deleting my reviews. I don't usually post reviews, but felt compelled to do so following my experience with Capital Laser and Sue. Several years ago, I decided to try laser hair removal as a result of a thick beard and unsightly ingrown hairs on my face. Shaving was difficult, and not shaving wasn't an option given the need to look professional for work and graduate level study purposes. Within a couple few hours of shaving, I would suffer from unslightly razor burn, which would only get worse as the day wore on and especially during the hot, humid summer months DC is known for. I exhausted every option -- all the lotions, creams, shaving devices, exfoliating, visits to dermatologists, EVERYTHING -- before settling on laser hair removal. Before trying Capital Laser, I initially was undergoing treatment at a physician's office. He estimated that I would need about four to five treatments, but over eight to ten treatments later, all i had to show for the time and money were numerous patches/ stripes of hair on my face (bizarre looking if I went one day without shaving) and some small scars from blisters received from the treatment. Following a treatment (always scheduled for a Friday), I would not leave my house all weekend due to the puffiness of my face and possibly some blisters. I almost gave up. My situation was honestly worse than before trying laser. After realizing that i had to try someplace else in order to treat at least some of the remaining patches and stripes of hair on my cheeks and chin area, I found Capital Laser. I was extremely hesitant at first. But between Sue's confidence that she could help me and with her encouragement, I agreed to try at least one session. After a single session, I was sold! I have completed treatment with Sue and pop into her office a couple of times a year now for maintenance (hormones don't stop). The results are incredible! Not only is my skin clear, but following any treatment I could go to work and even out that same evening with friends. Aside from a slight pinkness that subsides after about 20 minutes following treatment, you cannot tell i had any procedure done earlier that day. No blisters, no puffiness, and the patches and stripes are gone. Sue's office is clean, welcoming, the prices fair, and both she and her staff have been extremely kind and sympathetic to the situation. The experience and response to the treatments I have thus far with Capital Laser is the experience and response I was hoping for/expecting when I first decided to do laser hair removal to deal with my ingrown hairs. Sue clearly is an expert at what she is doing (as you will come to learn after a consultation with her and from many certificates on her wall) I am so very grateful for her for her help. Life changing. If you're considering laser hair removal, I don't think it can get any better than this.

I began going to Capital Laser in 2005. I wasn't sure about the results I would get since, in my research, Capital Laser was less expensive than many other DC metro locations and I usually think everything is a scam. So I started off with less expensive, smaller area: my underarms. Well, I was so pleased with the laser treatments and results that I continued on to my lower legs, and am now working on my upper legs and a Brazilian (and more body parts to come, trust me). Having one technician work on my body has been an added advantage. Sue knows my skin and what works for me. She is always careful to give me great results without injuring me. And, frankly, she is a friendly person who makes one feel at ease. I would (and do) recommend this place to people I know because of the reasonable cost, great location, accommodating business hours, and absolutely amazing staff. If you have hair "issues" go to Capital Laser! It really did change my life because I no longer have to worry about letting my hair grow long enough to wax and have my body feel like razors. Tank tops and shorts: here I come!

My experiences with Capital Laser have been amazing. I am an attorney in the Arlington, Va area, and I carefully researched my options before choosing Capital Laser. Sue is excellent at what she does, she truly enjoys it, and I would encourage every woman (or man) interested in laser hair removal to give her a call. I am not exaggerating when I say the treatments I have received were worth every penny, especially because they are permanent! I was lucky to be a good candidate for the laser treatment as I am of South American background and I have dark hair and light olive-colored skin. My entire adult life I've battled with the best way to remove the hair around my bikini area. Shaving was out of the question and it never failed to leave my skin riddled with embarrassing ingrown hairs and red bumps. Waxing was not only painful and expensive, but the results would only last a couple of days for me. Creams like Nair helped a little bit, but again the results only lasted a couple days. worst of all was just the embarrassment I felt at having such irritated skin. I went to see Sue at Capital Laser last year. My Consultation with her put me completely at ease. She was professional, straight-forward, and I never felt pressured. Sue not only carefully explained to me what I could expect, but also took the time to explain the "science" of the procedure to me as well. I scheduled an appointment, and within one treatment, I saw dramatic results. For weeks afterwards my skin was so smooth, hairless, and for the first time, it wasn't red or irritated. I couldn't wait to go back for my second treatment, and I did so as soon as I could afford it. I have since purchased the package for my bikini and underarms, and my next indulgence will be getting my legs done. Capital Laser's prices are very competitive and Sue has made it clear she wants to feel like I'm getting my money's worth. No problem there! I have actually never written an online review like this, but the reviews posted here helped me make my decision last year to go to Capital Laser. I hope mine will do the same for someone else! Life is too short to be self-conscious.

I've had four treatments on the bikini area, and have had very little regrowth. While I was at first reluctant to go in for laser hair removal, I've found it to be a very good decision. Sue is not only a very skilled professional but a caring person who immediately puts her clients at ease. She was very thorough, and the results have been extremely satisfactory-- no scarring or anything, as I once feared. I would not hesitate to recommend Capital Laser to anyone seeking hair removal. Sue came highly recommended to me and it was a big decision for me to choose her as I live and work in Richmond, Va and opted to travel for her laser services. I have had three sessions so far on my bikini line and underarms. After only two sessions, I noticed a significant difference in the hair growth and I am so happy that I am doing the laser. On the third visit, Sue purchased a new laser and the experience was ten times better than the first two. There was almost no pain at all and there was not any swelling after the fact. If you are considering laser, I would highly recommend going here and not postponing the treatment. The sooner you have it, the less you have to shave !!!! (I spent many years shaving and waxing and I am considering having my legs done next). It is definitely one of the best investments I have ever made.

I had a great experience with Capital Laser. The treatment for my unibrow took all of two minutes per session and now I don't have to worry about shaving it unevenly. As a guy with dark hair and pale skin I was worried that the laser would hurt, but Sue made sure to find the right level of intensity for the laser.

After a thorough, straightforward and honest consultation by a very friendly and professional staff who took the time to answer all my questions, I decided to go through with the procedures. Packages come 4 treatments per body. And the prices are very competitive - and for the type of quality service and quality results by someone who has been doing this for a very long time, you will not find better prices or accessibility. After the 1st treatment, there was noticeable hair reduction(and I'm not that hairy). After the 4th treatment, the areas treated are significantly maintenance-free. Very satisfied with the results. If you need more treatments after that - this place has great specials too! But you have to listen during the consultation. The staff will tell you that results take time - and they do not claim "permanent hair removal" (no such thing! it's hair REDUCTION). If you are even curious about laser hair removal - go to this place - for the service, the explanation and the prices.

I went to Capital Laser based on a referral from a friend. I was incredibly apprehensive since I have darker skin (I am east indian) and sensitive skin. The change in my hair growth and skin quality is remarkable. I have never experienced any hyperpigmentation or burns or even the slightest degree of discomfort. The staff is truly professional, and their interest is your health and beauty over any sales. They evaluate your skin tone and are honest about the results you can expect. The pricing is competitive with other places, however the services far exceed others in the area.
